INTRODUCTION :::: UNDERGRAD AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY :::: (#2 WORLDWIDE) NBBJ :::: (#1 WORLDWIDE) GENSLER

Born on December 6th, 1974, after Brent J. Zorich graduated St. Charles Preparatory High School in 1993 as a scholar athlete, he went into the industrial design department ranked in the top five nationally at The Ohio State University (accepted directly out of high school based on portfolio without a collegiate department submission), was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (the nation's largest fraternity), and graduated as the undergraduate design school student body president with a thesis project rebranding Nike retail. From early childhood, he enjoyed playing video games on the computer (Karateka), as well as on the Nintendo console; making a video game on his Apple IIC with his dad for eighth grade science fair at St. Pius X Elementary- eventually gaming on the Sega Genesis in high school, and then both on the Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Wii during undergrad and graduate school at The Ohio State University. For a brief couple of years, Brent switched his major to Pre Allied Medicine with the hopes of eventually becoming a strength coach in the NFL; writing workout routines and training collegiate football players in the weight room from Wittenberg University. He was a walk-on hopeful for The Ohio State University's Buckeye Football team but failed to make the squad in Winter Quarter of 1994 due to bronchitis during tryouts. In fact, Brent was so sick during tryouts, that his fraternity allowed him to skip the first day of "hell week" which began the following Sunday after that Thursday tryout session to recover and rest up. At the peak of training in his teens, twenties, and early thirties, he could bench press 365 pounds, squat near 500 pounds, leg press 1000 pounds, do hammer curls with 85 pound dumbbells in each arm, and rep 405 pounds on shrugs in sets of 20 with a forty hand time of about 4.9 seconds. To enhance further athleticism, when Brent was in his early twenties he practiced Jeet Kune Do (The martial art of Bruce Lee). Some of the football players that lived in the Morrill Tower dorm at Ohio State that went on to play in the NFL at the time Brent was there were future all pro and Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, future all pro NFL cornerback Shawn Springs, future NFL fullback Nicky Sualua, defensive end and now on air Columbus, Ohio, radio personality Matt Finkes, and future nfl linebacker, captain of The Ohio State football team, and now orthopedic surgeon for the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets, Dr. Greg Bellisari. During college, Brent lived on campus with members of both The Ohio State Football  and Ohio State Basketball team (basketball walk on Eric Hanna who wrote the book "Fight to the End" available on Amazon about walking on The Ohio State Basketball team) as well as one of the sports writers for The Ohio State University newspaper, The Lantern, whose brother played linebacker for Coach Jim Tressel at Youngstown State. Brent had been informed by his family growing up that on his Italian father's side he is the distant cousin of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino. As apart of United States history in the Ohio Valley, his Sicilian bloodline, "The Volpes", can be traced back to the Pittsburgh Crime Family "The Volpe Brothers" over 100 years ago and around the time of famous mobster "Al Capone." His Godfather on his father's side, as well as his cousins are engineering alum of The University of Notre Dame; while another of his cousins who have passed are alum of St. Mary's in South Bend, Indiana. Another of his cousins was the Interim President of Capital University in the 1990's in Columbus, Ohio. On his mother's Czechoslovakian side, his grandfather, Gaze Sotak,  was in eight major battles in the pacific as a First Sergeant in the United States Marine corps in World War II. In one of the battles, he and a few of his men were stranded for approximartely fifteen days and left for dead until discovered by United States military patrol. Brent's Czechoslovakian grandmother's lineage on his mother's side were architects in old country in Prague.

After switching back to Industrial Design, in 1997, as a young entrepreneur, Brent mocked up a prototype industrial design concept of a Reebok Golf Sandal incorporating the brand of Greg “The Shark” Norman, and presented the concept to the office of the CEO of Reebok, Paul Fireman, for production. During undergrad in industrial design that concentrated in retail store planning, Brent worked in store sales and visual merchandising for Tommy Hilfiger.  While a student in the design department, Brent had a summer design internship doing illustration work for a nationally ranked luxury SUV design facility named Custom Coach in Columbus, Ohio. There he worked on transportation design for their client, John McConnell, owner of the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets (note: other clients of Custom Coach included John Madden’s “The Madden Cruiser”; Deion Sanders; President George H. Bush; and Minister Louis Farrakhan- The Leader of the “Nation of Islam”- who Brent met in person while on site). Afterwards, Brent completed an internship doing corporate interior space design at Continental Office Furniture (Herman Miller) in Columbus, Ohio.

Once graduated from The Ohio State University, Brent worked at the architectural firm ranked number 2 in the world, NBBJ, as a post graduate architectural intern with the client being the “Republic of China”. He was fortunate enough to be in several “crit” sessions while on The Beijing Hotel for The Republic of China with the Chairman of Global NBBJ, Friedl Bohm. Brent then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to work for Gensler, the architectural firm ranked number 1 in the world as an interior architect, focusing on retail design for Gensler Fortune 500 clientele. These projects included both design documentation and construction documentation for one of Gensler’s premiere clients: Volkswagen. Brent was lucky enough while working in the studio to attend a firm practices session and meet and greet with M. Arthur Gensler, considered by many to be the most powerful architect on the planet. The key lesson he learned from Mr. Gensler was to be humble in business dealings. Arrogance is the quickest way to lose a client.

THE ACCAD GRADUATE PROGRAM AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

He left Atlanta and went back to the Ohio State ACCAD program, where computer graphics were invented in the 1960s by Professor Emeritus Charles Csuri, to complete a masters in computer graphics/ technical direction. Note: key alum of this program had made the liquid alloy T-1000 in “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger; the velociraptors in the original 1993 “Jurassic Park” directed by Steven Spielberg; the founder of FOX Blue Sky Studios who created “Ice Age”, “Horton Hears a Who”, and “The Peanuts Movie”; and the Chief Technology Officer of PIXAR Animation Studios. Of the 50,000 plus students at The Ohio State University, only approximately ten to fifteen students had security access to this ACCAD graduate program building. Graduate admittance into this program is determined by portfolio, and professional and academic achievement.

During Brent’s tenure at ACCAD, the facility received a research grant through Brave New Pictures to develop a nationally televised one hour documentary on a newly discovered nano tyrannous dinosaur in Hell Creek, Montana. This one hour documentary, entitled “The Mystery Dinosaur”, aired prime time on both The Discovery Channel and The Science Channel. Brent was key in both modeling and rigging on this feature. As apart of this grant, ACCAD was in full collaboration with The Burpee Museum in Rockford, Illinois, who were having weekly discussions with this ACCAD research group on physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics. Paleontologists from this museum had worked with Dr. Robert Bakker who was the Steven Spielberg paleontologist consultant on Jurassic Park. ACCAD alum of this project went on to work at studios such as PIXAR, Walt Disney Feature Animation, EA Sports, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Dreamworks Animation, and Activision; with Brent ending up at Lucasfilm. The ACCAD producer on this feature was the former department head of computer animation at The Ringling College of Art and Design. Note, Brent’s graduate thesis was entitled “Rigging A Prehistoric Animal” where he automated the rigging process in python.

DREAMWORKS SKG OUTREACH PROGRAM AT ACCAD

Finally in graduate school, he was in a DreamWorks SKG Outreach program being trained by Dreamworks supervisors in animation; and was also fortunate enough to be in a lecture session with Jeffrey Katzenberg. During the lecture, Mr. Katzenberg was asked what the most key role was in the production pipeline; his response was “the rigger.” Brent altered his CGI focus from modeling to rigging upon hearing that. This outreach program duration was 20 weeks, with supervisors in the industry who were currently working at DreamWorks Animation bringing such previous film experience to the ACCAD students as “Spider-Man 2”, “Finding Nemo”, “Shrek”, “Shark Tale”, and “Madagascar”. Brent was also asked to give a lecture, while as a student, to the College of the Arts at Ohio State student body at the Wexner Center for the Arts. There were a total of seven guest lecture supervisors from the program that went into extensive CGI techniques with each of the students on an individual basis. This gave Brent access to a professional pipeline in early development in his computer animation career that is still applicable to the types of work he is doing today. In these sessions, one of the people that he shadowed was the DreamWorks Animation SKG Rigging Supervisor that went over advanced rigging techniques, and first introduced Brent into the power of programming and scripting for automation. This particular supervisor, was the lead on Finding Nemo from PIXAR and who first taught Brent about “proxy rigging.”

TAKE TWO INTERACTIVE (NBA 2K) IN SAN FRANCISCO AND EA SPORTS (MADDEN NFL) IN ORLANDO

Afterwards, Brent went on to work in San Francisco, California, on Take 2 Interactive “NBA 2K”, working with the data of Shaquille O’Neal (TTWO market cap September ‘18: 15.2 billion) (note: they are also the makers of the top selling IP on the planet, Grand Theft Auto) and then on to Orlando, Florida, for EA SPORTS, where he worked on “Superman Returns”, “Tiger Woods PGA Tour”, and as a rigging technical director lead on “Madden NFL” (which is the top grossing video game in North America) (EA market cap September ‘18: 34.8 billion). While on Madden NFL, Brent was key in breaking new ground in the character setup aspect of the digital football players by working with the Central Football leads in changing the player bodies to be anatomically correct. Previously, the digital players in Madden NFL and NCAA Football had elongated arms to exaggerate a more Disney style art direction. Brent played a key role in converting the players of the top selling title in North America to bio mechanical accuracy with the entire 10,000 volume EA SPORTS Central Football animation library retargeted to his rigging setup. Lastly on Madden NFL, Brent was key in adding 15 to 20 additional leaf joints to the animation rig to add hyper realism in regards to bicep and hamstring flexing. At EA SPORTS, Brent was in bi-monthly global meetings with EA VANCOUVER, EA ORLANDO, and EA LONDON, analyzing and recommending improvement on rigging assets of characters for ELECTRONIC ARTS top titles including “FIFA”, “NHL”, “NBA Live”, “Facebreaker”, and “EA Harry Potter.” In these meetings, best practices with the ELECTRONIC ARTS BODYSHOP, global technology, global work flow, and global tools were explored.

LUCASFILM BEST PRACTICES REVIEW COMMITTEE & EXECUTIVE TRAINING IN SINGAPORE AND SAN FRANCISCO

Brent left the United States and moved to Singapore to become senior/ executive trainee/ best practices review committee of Lucasfilm, working with the former Chief Technology Officer of Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital in Wellington, New Zealand (The Lord of the Rings). Three years full time out of graduate school in 2009 (although he began in March of 2008) based on hours worked, he was on track to earn $170,000. There at Lucasfilm, he worked on “Star Wars” intellectual property (showing work directly to George Lucas), “Indiana Jones IP” for Steven Spielberg, was brought in to work on monthlies prep on “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” (sequence includes Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore that was a timed sequence to the song "Eulogy" by Tool), color correction on “The Clone Wars” (shots including Cad Bane and Obi-Wan Kenobi), and dailies shot critiquing on “Transformers Revenge of the Fallen” at Industrial Light and Magic research and development meetings (shots include Devastator and Optimus Prime), while also frequenting the Skywalker Ranch for research in Marin County in San Francisco, California. The Best Practices Review Committee was a hand selected panel by the former Chief Technology Officer from Weta Digital consisting of approximately ten people.  Brent had a strong vocal presence in these meetings where the goal of each was to set the digital standard in modeling, rigging, and rendering, for LucasArts, Lucasfilm Animation, and Industrial Light & Magic. While in Singapore, before being promoted and relocated to the home office in San Francisco, Brent was in a small research group of about six people focusing on film game convergence. In that group, the graphics researchers optimized an environment that was inhabited by Master Yoda from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, as well as Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Apprentice, Ahsoka Tano, from that same series. Brent combined the underlying engineering rigging aspects of the young Jedi with Jango Fett from ILM's Oscar Nominated "Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones"; The team used those assets to create a playable level in the Unreal Engine on the XBOX 360, which was shown to Mr. Lucas in Singapore. Before this film game convergence research began, Brent was doing additional exploration in the Autodesk Maya files of such Star Wars characters as General Grievous, Kit Fisto, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Jar Jar Binks, and a few others. He was analyzing their character technical direction and looking for ways to improve the control set ups to build out universally within Lucasfilm. In San Francisco, executive training within Lucasfilm Corporate was administered to Brent by the consultancy Engaged Leadership LLC. One of his personal highlights in addition to creating the character technical direction on Jabba the Hutt and Boba Fett was setting up the character code named Ultimate Evil, who was the cover character of Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition. For both spinal research of Jabba as well as biomechanics of Boba he worked with the library of the Skywalker Ranch frequenting the facility in Marin County. Brent's initial goal was to become a creative studio executive at Lucasfilm. Worldwide published magazine, 3D ARTIST MAGAZINE, did a two page worldwide feature on Brent at Lucasfilm.

BACK TO GRADUATE SCHOOL AT ACCAD AT OHIO STATE ::::: COMPLETION OF THE FIRST MASTERS DEGREE

Brent parted ways with California and Singapore and returned to Columbus, Ohio, and back to The Ohio State University to complete his Masters of Arts in Technical Animation at ACCAD. Brent reconnected with his graduate committee and added new information to his thesis project. Initially, the thesis portion of the project only spoke of programming in the hypothetical, with the actual work being done manually. Now, after research and development at Industrial Light & Magic, Brent wrote an entire dinosaur autorig in the programming language python that accompanied the research done on biomechanics and physiology completed on the project for the Burpee Museum. Brent graduated with his masters degree in March of 2011.

BZP PRO ::::: SIGGRAPH & GDC BOOTHS ::::: OUTPENETRATING FACEBOOK PRE SERIES A ::::: ACQUISITION REVIEWS FOR 20 MILLION

In 2011, Brent cofounded an animation software company in Columbus, Ohio, named BZP Pro with investors in the banking industry that are alum of Harvard and Yale from Chicago, Illinois. BZP Pro is engaged with accelerator REV1 VENTURES. The LLC had booth representation at both The Game Developers Conference (GDC) and Siggraph. The animation rigging software he wrote, called The Smart Skinner, had a university penetration of 250 universities on 6 continents (due to BZP Pro’s partnership program), made the cover of a world wide magazine, and was under acquisition review several times; the last time working with a Harvard investment banker formerly from Goldman Sachs. Brent was advised to not sell the formula below 20 million dollars by an affiliate of one of the founders of ILM. With the investment banker, they were in acquisition negotiations with a Silicon Valley headquartered company worth over 100 billion dollars. Note, (Mark Zuckerberg) FACEBOOK LLC, according to reports, was at approximately 85 schools pre “Series A” investment; BZP Pro outpenetrated FACEBOOK in university acceptance in the pre “Series A” investment stage with a “freemium” business model similar to FACEBOOK LLC: “free-to-play” for collegiate users with sales through “add-ons”.  The initial marketing strategy was that universities would receive the “freemium” software for three years to be fully integrated into their curriculum. Then, upon the fourth year of the universities requesting an upgrade, they would be charged an annual subscription thereafter; with students in the classroom being able to purchase additional individual licenses. The Smart Skinner automates 80 hours of advanced character technical direction into about 20 minutes of labor with minimal cleanup at the technical level of the companies Brent was previously employed, including Industrial Light and Magic’s Oscar winning Block Party Rigging Software. Upon purchase, The Smart Skinner perpetual license is active for the current year of Autodesk Maya. When Autodesk Maya upgrades annually, the customer would need to repurchase a new Smart Skinner license. Since this was Brent’s first LLC, he and his partners were learning as they went. Although after Brent’s three days of presentations at his Siggraph Booth generating 7 million in sales in verbal commitments, BZP Pro had difficulty raising money in the Midwest with venture capitalists and incubators primarily only offering $50,000 increments to potentially stay afloat. That barely covers engineering costs for three months. BZP Pro’s competitor, Mixamo, an inferior auto rigger with no magazine publicity and written by a phd from Stanford University who had no professional experience prior to his company, raised 12 million in funding in San Francisco and was ultimately bought by Adobe. Even though BZP was an ILM level product, the team learned that venture capitalists in the Midwest are typically reluctant to invest in video game technology. It’s like a former executive at John Deere who designs snow plows forming a snow shovel company in Hawaii. The sharks there don’t know what they’re looking at even though it’s at the level of John Deere. Even Electronic Arts closed their Chicago studio as did Disney; and the only major player in the Midwest is a Warner Bros studio in Chicago that makes Mortal Kombat. BZP Pro froze the business operation when they were under the last acquisition review with the Silicon Valley company worth over 100 billion dollars and is currently in the process of relaunching. NOTE: Brent took an extended leave of absence to take care of his terminally ill mother who passed from pancreatic cancer, as well as make his father’s house ADA compliant who is wheelchair bound with multiple sclerosis. Afterwards, while also updating the Smart Skinner pipeline and adding a pose library, Brent completed rigging prototyping work for both Sony Pictures as well as Walt Disney Feature Animation; working with his partner studio in Los Angeles. Most recently, Brent went under NDA with ADOBE, INC (Market Cap November ‘19: 142 billion) where, as an illustrator, was beta testing their design ecosystem (Photoshop) for APPLE’s IPAD PRO 2 (APPLE Market Cap November ‘19: 1.17 trillion).

FUTURE ::::: AWARDED "ONE OF THE TOP 100 PEOPLE IN TECH" BY THE CONFERENCE SPONSORED BY FACEBOOK & AMAZON

While co-operating BZP Pro with his partners, Brent will be able to continue to work on visual effects and video game blockbuster titles, and is hopeful to pursue additional advanced degrees in Business and Engineering as relates to Entertainment Technology with him already taking classes at Stanford University. He is also in the beginning stages of conceptualizing more potential venture funded IP, and most recently was recruited to be on 'The United States Presidential Task Force' assisting with public opinion given to the Office of The President of The United States of America.  Although leaning to the right on financial issues as relates to budget and economy and serving President Trump's Republican Task Force, he is also open to liberal acceptance where he is a friend of The Obama Family: President Obama's first cousin, a fellow engineer, and personal friend, is a connection on Facebook. To go into more detail, Brent supports marriage equality (although Brent is heterosexual), is pro choice, pro stem cell research, racial civil rights (with his own LLC's consisting of members that are Caucasian, African American, Republican, Democrat, Christian, and Jewish- also living in Asia for six months and being taken into the Asian community as a brother and honorary member... similar to Steven Seagal), and although he personally does not drink or do drugs, does not mind the use of marijuana for recreational purposes if the person chooses to do so. However, with his favorite president being President Reagan, in a situation where several entrepreneurs form an LLC, bootstrap for several years making sacrifices when it comes to quality of life as well as even dating, and then on their LLC have an acquisition offer of say (to use round numbers) 1 million dollars, under a democratic tax plan, a democratic administration would want to take 40 to 50 percent of that money in taxes; whereas a republican tax plan would only take about 12 to 15 percent. Brent believes in the Republican ideologies when it comes to business and believes that the Republican Party is the party that speaks to the entrepreneur. Brent is NOT a socialist, he is a capitalist that believes, unless owed for medical pain and suffering, people should work for their money.  Brent raised money and formed two LLC's working part time, got worldwide recognition for both of them, paid his taxes, and nearly flipped one of them, the software firm, for twenty million dollars on five separate occassions. That is what it means to be Republican. In 2024, it is for these economic reasons, that Brent will be voting for Navy SEAL Advisor and Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for President of The United States, with the hope that Governor Gregory Abbott from Texas is his Vice Presidential running mate. In 2020, he became a winner of an award at The Intercon Conference sponsored by FACEBOOK and AMAZON where he was recognized as "ONE OF THE TOP 100 PEOPLE IN TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION." Brent looks forward to lengthening his technical direction and entrepreneurial portfolio.

"To young Americans wondering tonight, where will I go, what will I do with my future, I have a suggestion: Why not set out with your friends on the path of adventure and try to start up your own business. Follow in the footsteps of those two college students who launched one of America's great computer firms from the garage behind their house. You, too, can help us unlock the doors to a golden future. You, too, can become leaders in this great new era of progress, the age of the entrepreneur." PRESIDENT REAGAN

For fun, Brent enjoys going to four star steakhouse bars to watch ESPN (although he rarely drinks alcohol); lecturing at universities around the country on the topic of video game and visual effects development; and at Starbucks, daily, sketching Frank Gehry influenced deconstructive buildings on his iPad Pro 2 (with APPLE Pencil), or Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus (with the Samsung S-Pen), using the ADOBE Design Ecosystem software. He is a fan of Ohio State Football, pulls for the The Chicago Bears in the NFC, the AFC North (Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and Cleveland Browns) in the AFC, and affiliations of Michael Jordan. His favorite movies are Spider-Man 2, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (that is his favorite movie actually seeing it over thirty times in the theater), The Fantasia Series, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. His favorite video games are Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Battlefront II, all by Electronic Arts for the XBOX; Spider-Man, and God of War for the PlayStation 4; and The Batman Arkham Series by Warner Bros Interactive. His favorite music acts are Pink Floyd, Seal, U2, Frank Sinatra, and Metallica. Brent’s eventual goal would to be a Chief Visual Officer at a major animation, visual effects, or video game studio similar to someone like Doug Chiang, Hideo Kojima, or John Knoll, with Mark Pincus potential: who he had the pleasure of having a brainstorming session. Companies he had in mind were PlayStation (God of War, Drake’s Uncharted Fortune, Last of Us, Spider-Man), Xbox (Halo), Rockstar Games (Grand Theft Auto), Warner Bros Interactive (Harry Potter, Batman, The Lord of the Rings), a return to ILM (Star Wars, Marvel), and a return to Electronic Arts (Star Wars). He looks to the creative visual guidance of Peter Jackson and JK Rowling work for inspiration. Brent hopes to write a memoir one day on his own reflections and professional practices stemming from portfolio experiences as well as collegiate lecturing similar to architect Simon Wyler in the movie “The Lake House”- as a goal Brent would hope that every three years for three months he could take a sabbatical and lecture a studio class at Harvard University in Design, Animation, or Engineering. Making headway in the video game, design, engineering, and animation world, Brent was contacted by the publicist of Michael Jackson to represent him in 2022.

A MESSAGE FROM BRENT::::::: December 27th, 2021

It is common in my industry that after a few projects under your belt your ego swells. These are a few people that I look to and try to model my behavior after, publicly, that have kept me level headed over the years.

Walter Payton: He was one of the greatest athletes of all time. With the exception of Jim Brown and possibly Barry Sanders, he is the best running back to play the game. I remember seeing an interview of him on television when I was a kid. I believe, before Oprah got too big, she was still primarily in the Midwest and had famous Chicago athletes on her show. My mom quickly came into my room and grabbed me to watch. I remember Walter being asked about fans and staying grounded. His response was plain and simple, “Remember, when you meet a fan of your body of work, even if you are having a bad day, that is the fan’s first time meeting you. Let them walk away with that great of an impression.” No matter where I go, I try to keep a calm approachable demeanor and remember… I’m representing NBA 2k, I’m representing Madden NFL, I’m representing Star Wars, and to fans, whether they be at a comic book or game convention, my body of work has a fan base, and I remember Walter and practice accordingly.

M. Arthur Gensler: I worked for the number one ranked design firm in the world from 1999 to 2001. During that time there as an interior architect/ industrial designer in the Atlanta studio in 2000, Art, as he liked to be called, visited the office and gave an all staff presentation. After the presentation, Art was sitting in a small conference room by himself eating a sandwich for lunch and passing time between meetings. An intern that I was with that studied under me saw him in the room and he has such an approachable demeanor to him, we walked in the room to introduce ourselves. Here we are, 24 year old architectural designers approaching the most powerful architect on the planet, while he is eating, to introduce. Art, with a mouth full of food, who you think would want privacy in his own office, immediately put his sandwich down, introduced himself to us, and for the next 25 minutes began telling us exclusive stories of design, client meetings, professional practices, insider wisdom in the industry, business principals: we were blown away. The whole time I am standing there talking to Mr. Gensler saying to myself, how am I ever going to act arrogant when it comes to my own work again. Gensler has shaped my entire career.

THE EDGE:  U2 is one of the lasting bands, like Metallica, whose work has lasted 40 years and spans different generations of fans. Their guitarist, The Edge, has continuously reinvented himself with the band’s sound from blues, to alternative, to rock, to techno. One thing that is a constant to him is his demeanor. What has separated U2 from other bands, is their music, artwork, has a message, and they are in this industry to tell a story, similar to a Walt Disney with a guitar, and not about “sex, drugs, and rock n roll.” The Edge, when doing his interviews, never shows any flamboyance or unjustified ego. He is an artist using an instrument, the way that I am an artist using my instrument… a computer… to set a precedent in an industry, like mine, where you have innovators, and you have followers, never allowing a major tour, record sale, or achievement of pulling in the latest technology, as I do, to make his artwork, without being overly approachable and friendly to his fans. My two favorite tracks that he has written, are “Gone,” and “Until the End of the World.” As an artist, he is constantly expanding on engineering incorporation into his artwork, as am I, with even interest of pursuing a second masters degree from afar in computer science from Stanford (even if I have to take class remotely if not in San Francisco) and in my opinion, I view him as more of a technical artist/ scientist than just plain musician. With his body of work, it is easy to become a “diva.” He sets the bar in both ways to behave as well as ways to make technical art.

James Hetfield:  With the exception of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, Metallica is the biggest band of all time. The music of their latest album, Hardwired, is just as popular as their first album, Kill ‘Em All. Not even U2, with as popular as they are, gets the media attention and play of Metallica. In my high school year book, when I graduated in 1993, I wrote the name “Metallica” next to my name. In 2006, while living in San Rafael, a suburb of San Francisco, there is a bar I used to frequent that played live music called “The Fourth Street Tavern.” One night I was in there listening to a band, and in walks, with no entourage, with not trying to draw attention to himself, eating an ice cream cone… James Hetfield. He stood back in the corner of the bar watching the band and I began freaking out. I don’t know what made me do this, but I walked up to him, stood at a side angle as to not obstruct his view, and said, “Mr. Hetfield,” “Yes,” he said, then I said, “I just wanted to let you know that in undergrad at The Ohio State University, my PIN number on my ATM machine was L - A - R - S (the drummer of Metallica, Lars Ulrich).” He began laughing shook my hand and went, “James.” I shook back and went, “Brent from Ohio… It would be an honor to buy you a drink.” James said, “make it a club soda.” I got him his drink, and for twenty minutes, with Mr. Hetfield’s undivided attention, talked everything from sports, to Star Wars, to music (I told him my favorite song by them was Leper Messiah and he told me this was their 20 year anniversary of the Master of Puppets album that the song was on). He was literally one of the nicest people I have ever met. Amazing. If the biggest frontman with the exception of McCartney and Jagger doesn’t have an ego, then no one can.

And this is how I stay grounded.

LESSONS IN LIFE: SPENDING MONEY:::::: December 29th, 2021

• THE RATIO OF SPENDING YOUR NET WORTH TO LIVE SMART AND BE SMART.  LEARN TO BECOME CONSERVATIVE AND PROTECT THE MONEY YOU HAVE.

• ALLEN IVERSON, WHO I WAS A FAN OF BACK IN THE DAY, FAMOUS HALL OF FAME BASKETBALL PLAYER, ONCE HAD A NET WORTH OF 200 MILLION. THROUGH RECKLESS SPENDING AND POOR MONEY MANAGEMENT HABITS, ACCORDING TO THE WEB, HE NOW HAS A NET WORTH OF ONLY 1 MILLION.

• BRITNEY SPEARS, ACCORDING TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB, A FEW YEARS BACK HAD A NET WORTH OF 230 MILLION DOLLARS. THROUGH POOR SPENDING, CONSERVATERSHIP, AND MISHANDLING OF MONEY, HER NET WORTH DROPPED 170 MILLION DOLLARS IN ONE YEAR TO NOW 60 MILLION. THAT IS STILL QUITE A BIT, BUT PROBABLY THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT SOMEONE WOULD NEED TO BE CAUTIOUS OF WHEN LENDING MONEY OR ASSISTING WITH FINANCE DUE TO HER POOR CHOICES. ALTHOUGH I WISH SAM ASGHARI AND HER WELL, I AM HOPEFUL THAT SAM'S CAREER TAKES OFF BECAUSE DUE TO THE WAY THAT BRITNEY BUDGETS HER FINANCES AND HANDLES HER ACCOUNTS, SHE IS A PRIME CANDIDATE FOR BANKRUPTCY... AND SAM WILL HAVE TO BE THE BREAD WINNER.

• MIKE TYSON, WHO I AM A FAN, WAS ON HOWARD STERN AND SAID A LOT OF ATHLETES GO BROKE BECAUSE MANAGING MONEY IS AN ART FORM… HERE IS HOW I WOULD HANDLE 5 MILLION DOLLARS.

• FOR EVERY 5 MILLION YOU EARN… AND THIS RATIO WOULD BE MULTIPLIED BY THE APPROPRIATE FACTOR TO FIGURE THE FINAL AMOUNT, SO IF IT WERE 200 MILLION, YOU WOULD MULTIPLY THESE FIGURES BY 40…

For every 5 million dollars:

1. 3 MILLION IN MUTUAL FUNDS OR SIMILAR EARNING 12 PERCENT (400K ANNUAL).
2. 700K IN BONDS AND IRAS COMPOUNDING 7 TO 10 PERCENT (60K ANNUAL).
3. 700K IN SAVINGS- ONLY 1 PERCENT INTEREST EARNED.
4. 600K IN CHECKING FOR CASUAL SPENDING AND EMERGENCY CASH- NO INTEREST EARNED.

Equals:

THE SPENDING ON 5 MILLION DOLLARS IS NO MORE THAN 470K PER YEAR.

SO IF MY NET WORTH WERE 200 MILLION… WITH THIS RATIO… THAT WOULD MEAN THAT I WOULD SPEND 40 TIMES 470K, OR $18,800,000 PER YEAR.

Be conservative when it comes to spending. It would be nice, that eventually if I do meet the right woman, she feels, ideally, about the same way in spending and investing that I do. Also, purchase belongings intelligently. If I were to meet the right woman, and I became a creative executive (Chief Visual Officer) at a Sony PlayStation, XBOX, EA, Take-Two, Lucasfilm, Warner Bros Interactive, etc, where multiple millions in earnings were to be generated each year due to salary, stock, and bonus; or, if my technology or clothing line were to be acquired (which has been up for review five times for twenty million dollars approximately); if it were her birthday, I would most likely spend the money allotted in the budget on jewely (which appreciates in value) as opposed to a car (which depreciates in value). It is for this reason why I am so conservative when it comes to spending and checking my accounts. As of 2022, my net worth (property, transportation, accounts, stocks) is just over 1 million dollars. So for example, I had access to several hundred thousand in cash, obviously, due to the 1 million net worth. Instead of going out and spending 120k on a new Porsche, that I could have easily afforded, I spent 35k on a Honda CRV while there are some transitionining things happening in my life. Live smart, invest smart, be smart.

DIET:::::: January 2nd, 2022

As I get older, I realize the importance of trying to eat a healthy diet. What I aim for is typically having at least two healthy meals a day (breakfast and lunch), and then try to eat a sensible dinner, but that can vary as well. I don’t drink alcohol; have literally never tried cocaine, shrooms, lsd, heroin, or X; tried marijuana only a couple of times at parties in college; and in high school only smoked half of a cigarette one time and hated it. No desire to try that stuff. My weakness was always chocolate and red meat. I try to have at least 1 cheat day during the week, similar to Dwayne Johnson.

This is a breakdown of what I try to eat per day.

For breakfast from Starbucks:

- venti green unsweetened iced tea
- egg mcmuffin with no cheese (english muffin, fresh cracked cooked egg, canadian bacon)
- Tall blonde roast with non fat cream

For lunch:

- Smoothie with the following (1 cup of non fat vanilla yogurt, 4 baby carrots, 8 strawberries, hand full of blueberries, half an apple, half an orange, 1 banana, scoop of psyllium husk, 8 ounces of water)

For dinner:

That can vary, but I try to stay sensible only having chick fil a or Wendy’s maybe twice a week and sit in dine in restaurants to eat a steak, pasta, chicken dish, or sometimes pizza, the rest of the week with a salad and main course.

Snack:

- 1 bowl of Wheaties with 2% milk

I’ve been doing this routine since the beginning of December and feel a lot better. I try to cut down my amount of Coca Cola or Pepsi to only once a week, if that, and primarily drink water or unsweetened iced tea.

REFLECTIONS:::::: January 3rd, 2022

Hmmm….….

Tony Stark…. Life of the party…. Bright and colorful personality…. Womanizer pre Pepper Potts…. Easy to approach and party…. Listens to classic rock (AC DC)…. Super chatty…. Engineering…. Works with/ applied for military contract…. A Las Vegas person…. Friends with Presidential families…. World famous tech entrepreneur…. Brags about the girls that do stalk him… Only child… Money in the bank… Collegiate lecturer…. Always a scotch in hand…. Does his best work during daytime and early morning… goes through chest and heart trauma when terrorists launch one of his own rockets at him and it alters the way he thinks and feels both mentally and physiologically… advised not to work but does anyway…

Hmmm, probably more like….

Bruce Wayne…. Not the Life of the party, isolates…. Dark, Turbo Station on Sirius (nine inch nails, Korn, Godsmack, Evanescence, Metallica, Pantera, Ozzy, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Jay-Z, Tool, Linkin Park, and off that station: 90’s U2, Pink Floyd, and Seal)… Severus Snape like… bit of a loner- but has friends that ask him to do things as a group…. Doesn’t take advantage of women, even the ones who stalk him…. Easy to approach but not a partier…. Non chatty, the anti-Kelly Ripa…. Engineering…. Works with/ applied for military contract…. Only child…. Not a Las Vegas person…. Friends with Presidential families…. World famous tech entrepreneur…. Dark Artist… design engineering on entertainment ventures… the architect… money in the bank… college lecturer…. Doesn’t drink alcohol…. Does his best work at night… goes through chest and heart trauma when a foreign substance, in this case the Scarecrow’s hallucinatory concoction, causes Bruce to not only have temporary chemical problems in his brain that get fixed through emergency practices, but also cause chest palpitations… advised not to work but does anyway...

WINNERS AND LOSERS:::::: January 9th, 2022

Interesting... why is this person or that person popular. Is it due to professional or academic achievement, or do they just walk restaurant to restaurant spreading rumors, being the person that has “the scoop” on people, and being a brown nosing know it all.

1. Are you ”Alfie”? Jude Law in the movie. A low end person that tries to be popular by going to restaurants to be “seen” without any substance to resume or academic achievement. Are you judgmental making smart ass comments because you are jealous. Are you a joke of a person who has a small lower end job that tries to communicate with higher end people by spreading rumors and calling restaurants harassing paying customers where the restaurant is now looking at a lawsuit and you are looking at an arrest warrant? You’re basically trying to instigate a confrontation with a “prodigy” or a ”Number 2” or “Number 3” that is public, that way you can draw attention to yourself and be spoken about by people in the nightlife because your life and career are a joke and you want attention by making a scene, not by getting attention by achieving a milestone, closing a deal, getting in a newspaper, or being featured in a worldwide magazine. You are a joke. NOTE: The attitude of the restaurant should be “under no circumstance is a paying customer to be harassed. If people are contacting this restaurant about paying customers causing an unpleasant dining experience, they will be reported to the police. Furthermore, those employees that partake in this gossip fest due to exterior restaurant phone calls that cause an unpleasant dining experience will have their employment terminated immediately.”

2. Are you Nick Marshall? Mel Gibson in “What Women Want”. An executive that can pitch Nike and close a deal.

3. Or are you Sean Parker/ Timberlake? “Social network” that is a tech entrepreneur featured in worldwide magazines with an amazing resume to build from.

The last two are good, watch out for the first one.

TYPICALLY THOSE THAT ACHIEVE THE MOST SPREAD THE LEAST RUMORS. DESIGN ENGINEERING. CONCEPT ILLUSTRATION.

THE COMPLEXITIES OF A VULCAN MIND :::::: THE THOUGHT PROCESS OF ARCHITECTURE APPLIED TO ENGINEERING. March 15th, 2022

When discussing the way my mind works, we must first discuss the way an architect thinks: generating multiple thoughts based off of one action. The brain, in my opinion, works like an intel processor. We, as humans, although I see myself more or less as Vulcan, go throughout the day responding to different stimuli in various ways. If a person is walking down the street, and a child approaches them that is lost, the one action of recognizing the panicked look on the child’s face might generate two thoughts in most people: 1, where is your mother, or 2, where is your father? For a very powerful architect, it is possible, due to the brain exercises we do, or have done, since university, 5 to 7 thoughts could be generated… just due to our training.

A complex design architect, such as myself, is trained to generate multiple thoughts based off of one action, in this case: composition vs volume. In a composition, on an X-Y plane, if a line is drawn between two vertices, most people that design that line, or just draw that line, only see a line on a plane or paper. To a powerful design architect, the “one” action of a line, will generate the following thoughts because that line will be apart of a floor plan. So, before the powerful design architects pen has completed the one action of connecting two vertices in a line, they are already thinking about: color, elevation, door, window, shadow, perspective, texture, trapezoid, adjacency. This is all based of the one action of drawing one line. So, from a brain exercise standpoint, one physical action is immediately generating 7 to 8 thought processes operating at the same time.

This type of thought process can be applied to other fields. Unfortunately, the life of an architect is that of a starving artist, the major money is in engineering. Engineers tend to problem solve on a linear path, writing code in steps and building blocks to solve problems. This was why writing The Smart Skinner Software was as easy for me to do as it was. The complexity of problem solving a rigging pipeline was tackled by the mind of an architect multi processing several solutions at once and converging them into one formula; tackled by my architect mind. Engineering Chief Visual Officer is the path I am headed, like Doug Chiang, John Knoll, Hideo Kojima, Mark Pincus, etc… and that is the path of a multi millionaire/ billionaire, in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, New York City (West Village, Manhattan, working remotely) or beyond: as a world famous video game developer and tech entrepreneur.

Live long, and prosper.

HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN :::::: March 17th, 2022

I remember in spring of 2004, I was in a team project for digital and physical theatrical and computer lighting, a team of us were constructing a physical environment in graduate school with digital projections as an exhibition, I was excited because around the same time the quarter wrapped, was the Friday that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban came out. I remember after the build we went to the show sitting in the theater watching the Buckbeak scene going, “My God, they really got it right this time”. Brought to tears of overwhelming joy. During summer of 2004, when this film ended up going to the dollar theater, I was going every day. I ended up seeing this film over 30 times in the theater.... Amazing.... the way the story twists and turns is unmatched; the vfx are some of the best ever; the acting and performance was the best of that year; and the color palette and atmospheric mood was incredible. Stephen King even claimed it was the best movie that year. An absolute masterpiece. This is my favorite film of all time.

THE EVENING POTTER :::::: April 25th, 2022

Throughout the course of blogging, there will be cool blogs, and really cool blogs. This is a really cool blog…. The Evening Potter. As silly as this sounds, it’s actually really fun, simple but fun. In the Midwest, in Autumn, especially in Ohio, the changing of the foliage, trees, and bushes are some of the most amazing things that can be seen. A lot of oranges, browns, yellows, and reds, in the exterior of a building. In school at ACCAD as a graduate, during the fall, it was often that at around 7:00 pm I would go for an evening coffee at either Caribou Coffee (now Crimson Cup) or Starbucks on Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington (Columbus) Ohio by campus, get a mocha drink, be back to the computer lab by 7:30 pm, just in time for the sunset, enjoy my drink, and have the oranges and reds of the sun, shine into the lab, mix with the oranges and reds of the foliage, and then throw on “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” with a similar art directed color palette, calmly drink my drink, open up Autodesk Maya on my computer in the lab, and make creatures all night long. A really fun experience, one I recommend for everyone who is at Ohio State or any Midwest school in a CGI department, and a really fun time. On days I would do this I would get home at about 3:00 a.m. in the morning… with no regrets… "wingardium leviosa."

WHY ‘SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME’ IS A ROLE MODEL MOVIE: AFTER SAVING THE DAY, GOING ON TO MIT :::::: May 12th, 2022

To be honest, I don’t watch a lot of tv ‘shows’ or see that many movies, I’m more likely to watch video game captures on YouTube or watch sports related programming: NFL, college football, MMA, boxing, NBA, college basketball, FIFA, and some NHL. However, a non Rowling film comes along once in a while, in this case Stan Lee Marvel oriented, that changes things. The Spider-Man universe I put up there with Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Batman. In the latest version, in a film that combined all three Spider-Men together (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland), the one thing that I took from this picture was a group of high school students, working together with super heroes, putting their wits together, saving the day, and unlike other heroes that don’t push for intellectual stimulation, Peter, Ned, and MJ, all plan to go to MIT. This is exactly what youth needs to see. It’s cool to go MIT for engineering… it’s cool to pursue study at a MIT, a Stanford, a UC Berkeley, or a Carnegie Mellon. The world is moving forward and as we evolve as a race of people, with gaming and engineering taking over, the entertainment section of this planet will no longer be determined by ‘who you know’, or getting a promotion based on a religious or social affiliation, or financial wealth, or inherited wealth of financial family. The future of entertainment will be determined by IQ. No longer is the power player Trent from the movie ‘Swingers,’ the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy. No longer is the person that people cling to socially the one in the club with their mixed drink on a sexual prowl. Now the ‘player’ is the person at the four star steakhouse in the VIP section with a laptop, crunching code on a Friday night, talking to entrepreneurs, making strategic career decisions, and inventing something… like 20 million dollar software. As our race moves forward towards a Star Trek like society, we understand where the most advanced pioneering will come from as we progress. This is the age of the engineer. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is a stepping stone for all students and innovators to see. Not only should the three students in the film be shown in high schools, this should have been named as ‘Best Movie of 2021.

WHY THE TWO ACTRESSES I RESPECT THE MOST ARE NATALIE PORTMAN AND EMMA WATSON :::::: May 17th, 2022

Besides the obvious reasons of being the lead female characters in my favorite movies, Hermione in Harry Potter and Padme in Star Wars, they relied on something besides their beautiful looks and wit to be successful… intelligence. Too often in Hollywood you see a scenario where a young starlet makes a break in film or music, then through either poor parenting, poor education, poor self respect, or lack of control, they end up ruining their reputations by getting involved with the wrong crowds in entertainment: whether it be too much partying, drugs, sexual escapades, loss of faith, or even nude pics. Unlike so many actresses before them that get their break and do something foolish, they took their JK Rowling and George Lucas money and used it for tuition at Harvard and Brown University, respectively. They both set an example of what Hollywood should be like; which is that in order to win a role or become relevant, it is better to broaden your horizons at a University as opposed to trying to get in a party scene, or position yourself as a server, say at a high volume nightclub, that for example the agent of Tom Cruise goes to, so if you wait his table, you get twenty minutes of face time with a Cruise agent, as opposed to perfecting craft the old fashioned way by hitting the books. In my opinion, Hollywood is not even the land of dreams anymore, it’s Silicon Valley. The wealthiest person in Los Angeles is in fact Steve Ballmer who co founded Microsoft with Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Like Justin Timberlake says in The Social Network, “A million dollars isn’t cool. What’s cool… a billion dollars.” Likewise, in this new day and age as film production attraction lessens and video game production power takes over, a wannabe Hollywood player that got discovered through “who you know” irrelevant outings isn’t cool. Who is cool: the well studied engineer… the Vulcan. I hope Natalie and Emma are role models for women starting their journey, like Zendaya, who I am also quite fond, and women like her can emulate the successes based on the track record of Hermione and Padme.

SEATTLE - GRUNGE - AND DOPING YOUR SENSES :::::: May 18th, 2022

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. On the Lithium station on Sirius XM, they are replaying the 30 year anniversary of Nirvana’s “Nevermind.” Several things pop into my head, as an artist, engineer, architect, designer. When your brain works different, and you are creating works like the Mona Lisa, what “Nevermind” is, at what point does society step in and say… “we need to medicate you.” When chemicals in your brain don’t function like normal people, or you have different thoughts… is it anyone’s business… or is it like a chitty chatty type who sees Trent Reznor on a treadmill with headphones on wanting to be left alone because he communicates his introversion through his artwork and she’s wanting to find out his personal being and chi so she can blab it out in the open to everyone- so “Wish” by Nine Inch Nails never gets made; is it Kubrick’s mom watching an early screening of “A Clockwork Orange” pissing and nagging that he’s the black sheep of the family and unless he changes his form isn’t welcome at the Thanksgiving table; is it James Hetfield sitting at a restaurant writing “Leper Messiah”, my favorite song by Metallica, being approached by some person that thinks she’s “Ms. Thang” and wanting to look popular by standing next to him; is it Tim Burton writing “Nightmare Before Christmas” at a Starbucks and some clown is walking up to him and saying, “you need to wear more color.” Point being, when is the “intervention” intervention, and when is it idiots acting stupid to get attention. Obviously Kurt Cobain struggled, but if they got to him with the medicine too early, and had the cheery fake people who wear one dress to the steakhouse looking for a daddy to buy them drinks bothered him too much… “On A Plain” would never had been made. Realize, people are different, if you see someone that you think is in trouble, reach out to them first, don’t try to make a publicity stunt out of it…. There’s nothing cool about making publicity about someone with a disorder that is a genius. In reality, they might just need to be loved, and they don’t want their inner soul plastered all over a city or media. That’s what happened to Cobain. If you see someone who is a genius, that looks as though they might be struggling with something, know when to call someone to help them and know when to say, “he or she’s different, that’s why they move the human race forward.” The world is a better place with a song like “On A Plain.” When conceptualizing designs, both software, animation, and architecture for games, I’m deeply influenced by the Seattle grunge scene of the 1990’s. The music is raw, true, pure, angry, emotional, and honest… like I try to make my work. The anger, angst, love, sadness, isolation, joy, and forgiveness of that music I try to incorporate by listening to it as I conceptualize. A lot can be said about the 90’s Seattle scene that still influences an entire generation of artists, engineers, and architects today. Really amazing stuff. Tonight I watched the movie “Singles” by Cameron Crowe about the music and relationships in the Seattle scene. I hadn’t seen it in nearly thirty years and in high school wrote a paper on it. One of the main characters in the movie wound up being Peter Parker’s dad in “The Amazing Spider-Man” almost twenty years later. Really cool stuff and a good watch. A unique film where you’ll see live performances by Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains… with The Smashing Pumpkins and Jimi Hendrix playing in the backdrop.

WHAT IS SPORT :::::: June 4th, 2022

Sport is…

… Tom Brady being unwilling to lose when down by three touchdowns in the fourth

… Knowing that when you put your clothes on for the day you are going to win

… Having a clean odorless sweat that is pure, with no alcohol, cigarette, or drug toxins

… Pushing the limits of your mind and body to achieve the things you thought not possible

… Clearing your head for a walk or run of all clutter when you begin to work

… Michael Jordan clinching the Finals victory in his last suit up in a Bulls Jersey

… EZEKIEL ELLIOT BREAKING AWAY FROM ALABAMA FOR A TOUCHDOWN IN THE OHIO STATE/  ALABAMA GAME

THE LOVE OF DESIGN AND ANIMATION ENGINEERING: CREATING IN YOUR MOST ELEMENTARY FORM :::::: June 9th, 2022

The animation and design engineering industry can be challenging to be in due to the amount of layoffs in the profession. The money can be good, I pulled about just over 170k three years out of school at Lucasfilm, and I’ve gotten job specs for over 400k before for entertainment software manager/ software architect in the Bay Area. In fact, if you look online on YouTube, it is common that mid level engineers at google often pull 500k between salary, stock, and bonus. That being said, it can be relatively unstable to be in due to studio acquisitions and closures. If you ever experience the gloom of a layoff, which will happen to everyone at least once during their career most likely, remember your passions towards your industry and the fun you have creating. What I do to get focused, is watch the first four minutes, intro, to the movie “Hoosiers”. In that scene, not only is the music incredible, it shows a younger generation of people, not glitzed and glammed, not with fancy cars, not with skyscrapers and penthouses, doing what they love to do… play basketball in small towns in Indiana. These are not boys playing for NIL, or for a future NBA contract where they will get women and alcohol. They are just playing because they love the game. The essence of what it means to have the mindset of a performer… or a swoosh. That mindset applies to me as well when thinking about the future of running a major video game organization. Often at times I think to myself how great it would be to travel to Europe, I’ve never been, and go to a cafe near Bilbao where Frank Gehry’s museum is located (similar to the cafe at the end in the first Mission Impossible where Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames enjoy each other’s company after a hard days work), sit in a cobblestone brook, get an espresso drink, pull out my iPad, put on a Rolling Stones classic like “She’s a Rainbow”, take out my Apple Pencil…. and just design something. It can be a new character, a piece of architecture in a game, code, a new rigging system, etc. But just drift away to the land of John Knoll and Jony Ive, listen to Mick, and let it flow. In creating, remember, as long as a piece of paper, a pen, and a cup of coffee, make you happy, you will have nothing to ever fear. Don’t forget to simplify and create in your most elementary form. Things work themselves out. Just stay focused and never lose your imagination.

ARE YOU AN ARTIST, OR A DESIGN ENGINEER? THE DIFFERENCES :::::: June 14th, 2022

People often ask the question when working, are you making an art piece, or a design engineering piece. Are you an artist, or a designer. To clarify and sum up… artists feel, design engineers solve. An artist will put their inner soul, spirit, and subjectivity, into a piece of work; putting themselves on a canvas, a film, a game, or a piece of music out for the public to interpret, with the hope that it generates revenue. A design engineer, like myself, analyzes a situation, and through a systematic process, develops a series of schematics that are ultimately narrowed down to solve a problem. There is nothing wrong with either profession, but they look at creativity differently. The artist might make pieces that would be in a museum, whereas the design engineer would focus on the conceptualization of the museum itself to show off those pieces so they might sell. ILM is more centric around design engineering. The concepts being generated for George Lucas and such film are typically more design illustrations in a multiple layout form. Most game studios take this approach also. In the drawings themselves, they are solving a problem for that particular shot that must be understood by the audience member in approximately three seconds of screen time. This has a direct influence in the process of conceptualization. An artist takes the approach of “this is how I feel about a particular piece emotionally,” whereas the designer will say, “this is how I want you, the user, to feel about this piece, non personal reflection, and I will use methodology based on research and science to generate that response from you, my user.”

Personally, the type of design engineering that I do, in addition to video game conceptualization that I sell on my t shirts, is programming computer graphics tool software architecture to automate the character technical direction rigging process on various XBOX, PlayStation, Lucasfilm, Electronic Arts, etc. titles. In the schematic phase of this type of design, workflow, process, animation pose ability, and pipeline ease into a video game engine are what is typically drafted up.

DESIGNING ARCHITECTURAL FORMS AND ENVIRONMENTS FOR DIGITAL, NOT PHYSICAL,
A PROCESS OF DIGITAL CLAY SCULPTING VS PHYSICAL CHIP BOARD MOUNTING :::::: June 16th, 2022

As I have let it be known, one of my goals is that every three years I take a sabbatical from game entrepreneurship and development and lecture as a professor in the digital design department at Harvard or Stanford. If that honor gets bestowed on me, the class will be centered on the workflow used to conceptualize, design, and execute the proper principles required to build a level, or buildings and objects in that level, for a video game like Grand Theft Auto. Architects often use a process in design where they design a building from the “inside out.” Meaning, they explore the various functions of that building and practice various methodologies to make a functional space that influences the exterior of the design, but with the interior functionality taking dominance. In video gaming, however, a lot of environmental objects, building included, are created simply for the purposes of ornamentation. As opposed to wayfinding adjacency plans and elevations, three dimensional forms are immediately drafted. In architecture, when conceptualizing, it is often the process goes from pen and paper, to chip board model, to rendering… composition, to physical exploration.

Due to the freedoms a designer can have in the 3D world, such as no gravity, etc, the level designer can begin the conceptualization process with a different set of tools… like Zbrush and autodesk mudbox. The difference, when most architects explore in the third dimension, they do it through chip board modeling. The problem with chip board modeling, when you explore the overall form, you are focused on cutting an individual piece of foam core or chip board and assembling an overall form by assembling parts, like legos, to create a physical volume. The focus when doing this, the problem, is you are focusing on individual Lego pieces of foam core that you are gluing together as opposed to the roughed volume itself. In mudbox and Zbrush, the designer can use the digital tools to grab digital balls of clay, and rough out in raw form a volume relatively quickly, without worrying about structural architecture. These forms, once generated, can then be brought into autodesk maya where digital planes and cubes can be applied as paneling to the blocked out form. This process, should in theory lead to a smoother workflow for the design architect making the game.

Lastly, once this workflow is completed for these games, the digital paneling, which is defined in the viewport of the software, can now be identified mathematically. If the vertices, volumes, shaders, and forms, are then identified mathematically, they can be regenerated instantly in code… multiple copies with each building having a variance but still retaining the same architectural style. So, if a front view of a building, that we will call “The Brent”, has a set of parameters that were defined in the structures concept stage in mudbox, that in order to be a “Brent”, the opening on the building has to be centered in the middle of an exterior wall, and that is the only “coded” rule, then as long as the front wall’s opening, for example, has ten feet on either side, if that building were to be procedurally generated to save time in the creation portion of Grand Theft Auto, if the “Brent” command was called in object oriented programming, and three buildings were generated, they could have three unique openings entrances to each; as long as they satisfied the rule of frontal wall being equal on both sides. Those initial designs would be drafted in that Zbrush or mudbox software and called out procedurally. Therefore, from a monetization standpoint, it is then possible that in a Grand Theft Auto type game, as opposed to spending multiple months designing buildings and objects, if that game were to take place in a city like Columbus, Ohio, for example, each object in the object oriented programming procedure with randomization on building details, could look like the same architect designed various buildings in the same city, or multiple architects designing multiple buildings in the same city, that would be instantly generated through code; with groups of buildings sharing similar architectural style but no two buildings being the same- therefore looking like they were designed by the same architect of a particular period- all instantly. This technology, through default then, would save a project like Grand Theft Auto tens of millions in production costs while maintaining quality. This kind of methodology and workflow I am also interested in pursuing as a second masters in engineering from what will be the potential of a top five engineering school like Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, or Illinois.

WHY 2004 IS MY FAVORITE YEAR IN FILM :::::: June 16th, 2022

Like I had mentioned in a previous blog, I don’t go to a lot of movies, usually I watch video game captures on YouTube or I watch live sports like NFL or NBA. However, once in a blue moon a year comes along that have movies that are so incredible, I need to mention them. For me, that year was 2004. I was still in grad school then working on my first masters concentrating in cgi and it was often that I was going to the movies to not only enjoy the story, but look at things like rigging deformation, quality of model, compositing, and lighting. These are the movie that stuck out to me in 2004 that I still watch to this day as background ambiance while I work…

- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

- Spider-Man 2

- Alfie

- Shrek 2

- The Incredibles

- The Polar Express (note, there are two types of Tom Hanks people, Toy Story, and this… I’m this)

- Closer

GAME DESIGN EXPANSIVE TECHNOLOGY: THE KEY FIGURE IN THE FUTURE IS THE TOOLS DESIGNER :::::: July 3rd, 2022

As games expand through console iterations and evolve from four hours of gameplay, to eventually forty hours of gameplay, what must be analyzed in the creation process is the amount of billable hours spent on the formation of assets. Video games, as they expand into more comprehensive story, gameplay, and level of detail, are increasing in quality at approximately 800 percent per generation jump… about every seven years. The problem is, the budgets for the games do not allot for eight times the staff required to build them, even though console games increase in price approximately ten dollars per game per iteration (PlayStation 3 games costing $50, PlayStation 4 games costing $60, and PlayStation 5 games costing $70). This is where automation and artificial intelligence need to come into play to make up for the missing production staff that can’t be made up for by the $10 jump in price alone.

With that being said, the most coveted person, who should in theory be the wealthiest, with be the tools designer who creates the technology which automates extended playable levels to explore as well as the animation pipeline. For The Smart Skinner software/ technology that I designed, I was able to shed the character technical construction process at the level of Industrial Light and Magic from approximately 80 hours to about 15 minutes. This same ideology can be applied to character design, motion systems, environments, and props, saving costs while not compromising on quality. I achieved the system by inventing a reference skinning pipeline that had not been done before while converging a control rig from all previous employers, and incorporating motion capture. After a few tests and working out a few bugs, it worked beautifully.

So, to imagine what that means, for the tool designer if he or she were to go independent, the automation technology that would be required to cut costs on the production of say four characters, at 80 hours each, or 320 hours, could be delivered in 1 hour. If the tool designer is billing at $100 per hour, at 320 hours, that’s $32,000 of billable time delivered in 1 hour, or $100. From a business strategy standpoint then, the tool designer, provided the client liked the technology, could charge $10,000 for the one hour of work, deliver the characters in one hour, and save the production $22,000 in costs… thereby being the key asset in the pipeline. At that rate, the tool designer, if he or she only worked one hour a month, could earn $120,000 per year for a total annual work time of 12 hours. That rate would then be multiplied to scale. That’s a pretty amazing business strategy.

The same thing would go for A.I. as you expand into level design of environments. Through procedural generation created by software that the tool designer authors, buildings and environmental digital artifacts can be procedurally designed through the use of a modifiable template that should, in theory, populate a digital canvas instantly with very little man hours, saving months of time on the production phase. This is why as games become more complex, the most coveted person will be the tools developer… or the “Automator” or “Procedural Generator.”

A DESIGN ENGINEERING CHALLENGE :::::: CULTURAL DESIGN DIFFERENTIATIONS EXECUTED
IN MULTIPLE VARIANTS OF HARRY POTTER’S HOGSMEADE :::::: July 11th, 2022

As I have made public, my eventual goal at an entertainment giant like Industrial Light and Magic, EA, Sony PlayStation, XBOX, Rockstar, or Warner Bros, is to become a Chief Visual Officer, by which, through salary, stock, and bonus, could pay upwards of ten million a year. One of the first tasks I’ve mentioned where I could prove my skill set for that title is on the film game convergence portion of Spider-Man intellectual property where I write a common pipeline to be used in the character rigging portion of the hero characters between PlayStation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Sony Pictures Animation. That pipeline and workflow would save Sony millions in cost, afford downsizing of unnecessary teams, and not sacrifice quality of motion or deformation across the three platforms, while maintaining the “Spider” aesthetic. This task most likely, at early estimate, with one or two engineers at my disposal, would take six months to a year to pull off: the spider converged autoskinning modular autorig

The second challenge I would like to tackle is the one that this blog is centered on. As the Wizarding World of Harry Potter expands in games and films, more exploratory content will need to be produced. By the films alone, the majority of the scenery has taken place in England. As DLCs for expansive video games get developed, it is possible that more “Hogwarts” style schools will pop up in different cities throughout the planet in this world: a school for the students to attend, and a shopping area (Hogsmeade) for them to purchase supplies in retail. What would be the challenge, would be to first identify where all of the different school locations would be (Rome, Moscow, Chicago, Paris, Tokyo, Prague, etc), identify what the key features of the architecture of that time period are per city (maybe in 1900 in Tokyo a lot of Bamboo was used on the roofs of first level buildings as opposed to brick in Prague), and then design plugin technology based on object oriented programming where you take a base design of a Harry Potter building in Hogsmeade, that JK Rowling would approve of, of course, select the object, execute the operation, and through procedural design the building would change to that city’s period architectural style. The workflow would then be, spending twenty hours on a base polygonal building, then through this technology, instantly procedurally designing a new building based on that style cutting your design production in at least half per building..

So, if there were a Hogsmeade in five cities, and a stylized building took 40 hours to create the long way, and a base building prior to the technology took twenty hours, and each Hogsmeade had thirty buildings in it, as opposed to the art team having to spend (5 cities X 40 hours per building X 30 buildings) or 6000 hours, they could use this technology for (1 city X 20 hours per building X 30 buildings) 600 hours, then run the technology through the instant design… and 6000 hours of environment art design would be completed in 600 hours.

This base tech could then be applied to other games outside of Warner Bros, including if there was a multiverse Spider game for PlayStation or multiple planets in Halo. Like I had mentioned in a previous blog, as games expand and the cost to produce the mass levels of these games does not get added into value of the budget in regards to additional staff, the tools designer or chief visual officer, that can write the technology to procedurally generate the large amount of quantity of objects needed to complete the level will become the most important person in the pipeline.

BZP PRO: A SOFTWARE COMPANY VS A PLUG-IN COMPANY :::::: July 11th, 2022

My tech firm, BZP PRO, can be deceptive to people. People know that I outpenetrated Zuckerberg pre series a in regards to university acceptance, what they don’t understand, up to this phase, is why our sales were in the tens of thousands as opposed to tens of millions, that’s an easy explanation. We’re a plug-in for Autodesk Maya, not a standalone software. So, case and point, to compare to another software, we did not develop Microsoft Word, that is standalone and installed on windows and apple os. I developed what would be, comparatively speaking, a new spell check plug-in for Microsoft word. So, I did not design a standalone rigging software for a computer. No. I designed a rigging plug in for autodesk maya. In order to use my technology, you have to have autodesk maya installed on your desktop or laptop. Unlike Microsoft word whose addressable market is 8 billion people on the planet with the ability to buy the word software, autodesk reported to us that there are only 100,000 active autodesk maya licenses. That means, contrary to popular belief, when people thought that just anyone could buy my product, in any one given year, only 100,000 potential plugins can be sold. If you were to write and sell a plug-in for Microsoft word, you’re addressable market might be 5 billion licenses, whereas if you write and sell a plug-in for autodesk maya it’s only 100,000. The plug-in goes for approximately $300.00 for biped and $300.00 for quad. With only the 100,000 addressable market, that means with biped and quad, if every maya license had both, BZP PRO would only max at 60 million dollars annually. In business, market reports suggest you should aim for approximately 5% of your addressable market, so that means that the target goal for BZP PRO would have only been 3 million a year…. Not billions like popular belief.

The phase that we were trying to raise money for was to convert my technology to standalone software. We had difficulty raising money in the Midwest. On the west coast it wouldn’t have been a problem. Then the max potential market to buy would be like Microsoft word, 8 billion, and not as a plug-in for maya at 100,000. We spoke to several venture capitalists in the Midwest but came up dry, the Midwest typically does not invest in video games.

Peter Jackson, who owns Weta Digital, and directed The Lord of the Rings, had a plug-in system similar to ours, could self fund, converted to standalone to be used internally, and sold to Unity LLC for 1.6 billion. Unlike Weta, who only used their technology internally on their projects with no licensees, we set up a freemium model where we licensed 100 biped and 100 quads to 250 universities on six continents at an acceptance rate that outpenetrated FACEBOOK LLC pre series a. Students were able to use the plugins to create ILM level characters instantly with little or no direction. In addition, we were in several worldwide magazines, cover included, endorsed by tech conference heads, we’re told by several people to not sell the source code below 20 million dollars, and we’re under acquisition review five times with three fortune 500s one of which being worth 120 billion.

Point being, for an Autodesk Maya plugin, BZP PRO is one of the most groundbreaking disruptive plug-in companies in the history of computer graphics. for a plugin, the money is in the acquisition of the formula, not in the individual licenses. what would be similar in designing a plugin for an autodesk maya market, would be like designing an air jordan for a person with only a left leg. the shoe would need to be supportive of the whole body, but only fit on the left side. so, the addressable market is people, worldwide, that only have left legs. so, sales figures would be modest. however, imagine then that tinker hatfield, the chief visual officer of nike, looked at the left footed air jordan and said, "amazing design, don't sell the patent formula for this for under 20 million." you could either sell the formula patent, like we were trying to do, or raise rounds of money to develop a right sided shoe to go along with the left shoe and remarket to a broader addressable marketplace.... similar to making a standalone software.

BECOMING A WELL ROUNDED CHIEF VISUAL OFFICER: TAKING INSPIRATION FROM FASHION AND LAUNCHING THE CLOTHING LINE :::::: July 14th, 2022

When working in games, or even visual effects concepts, different creative approaches are used when problem solving. No one approach is better than another. One might be industrial design, where you go through a scientific methodology to create a character or spaceship. One might be architectural, where you explore the z axis (depth) of a virtual environment in order to navigate through… and fundamentals such as line, opening, barrier, etc come into play. One could be artistic, where the design engineer/ chief visual officer looks at volume in a digital sculpture or composition, as well as the color, shade, and blending variants on a canvas, character, or background plate. Finally, one can be fashion oriented, where the visual officer looks at volumes, colors, material specification, although in games digital, on a character or creature in a game. In order to be well rounded as a chief visual officer, it is good to study all processes, that way when you conceptualize, or delegate to your team, you are equipped to handle multiple design problems with different approaches should they arise. When I was an intern on Superman, I was designing the game’s citizen outfits on the title. In order to do so, I had to read magazines varying from GQ, to Vogue, to Cosmopolitan, look at the trends of the time, and incorporate them into the player models. It helped that in undergrad at OSU I had worked as a visual merchandiser at Tommy Hilfiger. I understood fashion, trends, what to look for in working class citizens that would be walking the streets in Metropolis. This made it easier when completing this task because I could design “trendy” attire.

For my own clothing line, Sketches of Brent Zorich, because I have a love of fashion, I contacted a distributer and got the Adobe Photoshop sketches I had lying around to become designs on t-shirts ready to sell. Within a couple of months, due to the popular comments made to my drawings online, PR firms began contacting me putting me in The Wall Street Journal as well as giving me the opportunity to potentially be in Vogue. I have always been a fan of the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” and learned from a famous quote by Warren Buffett, "the key to achieving financial wealth is to put yourself in a position to earn money while you are asleep". Taking baby steps, I now have two monetized websites that sell two fashion product lines, t-shirts and hoodies, and I earn about ten dollars per every shirt or hoodie sold. It might not sound like much, but it can add up, it’s a break from crunching Autodesk Maya constantly, and it’s applicable as a skill set that would impress a Kathy Kennedy (Lucasfilm President), Tokyo (Sony Heads), Satya Nadella (Microsoft), or Andrew Wilson (Electronic Arts CEO) that would assist in eventually becoming a chief visual officer at an Electronic Arts, Sony, ILM, etc, that with salary, stock, and bonus, could bring in three to ten million a year eventually. Job well done.

THE POTENTIAL SECOND MASTERS DEGREE AT STANFORD: TO MBA OR TO MS (TO MANAGE OR TO BUILD) :::::: July 21st, 2022

Me being very grateful, I am currently being pursued by Stanford University for a second masters, this one being a MBA. Stanford is the top school on the planet and it is great to be on their radar. The question I have in regards to this, is a MBA necessary when you have already operated your own business and nearly sold it five times. I’m not sure of the benefits to a MBA, or what you would learn in class, that you aren’t learning on the job. It typically seems that a MBA is for prospective students who might have one to two years of experience, and want an edge on their competition. An Executive MBA might be more advantageous at this point.

From a career standpoint, I might be more interested in continuing study, the second masters, being in engineering… or the MS. I’d probably rather build assets than manage assets. Thoughts are, if you have an artistic talent, it might be a better fit for the company you are with, or independently, to use your hands over directing orders on a project.

Careers are long, things can change. But I think I’d rather be Walt Disney than Roy Disney. That being said, it would be nice to shoot a signature in an email like this image to venture capitalists in Silicon Valley from a Stanford dot edu email address.

THE LUCASFILM BEST PRACTICES REVIEW COMMITTEE: TECHNIQUES, NOT CONTENT :::::: July 28th, 2022

Visually, artistically, engineering wise, and technically, Lucasfilm is the most advanced company in the history of the planet. I have even met engineers at the department of defense that technically do not stack up to the skill set required to perform at Industrial Light & Magic. To be on the Lucasfilm Best Practices Steering Committee was a real honor. Technically and artistically, that puts me in the same category as Leonardo DaVinci. This group that met every three weeks was not dealing with the content of Star Wars. We were dealing with the technical construction, best practices, and methodologies used to design the “nuts and bolts” of the assets in Star Wars. It was the assembly between the ten to twelve of us, all leaders within the organization, that we could set standards that would be rolled out firm wide. The main assembler of the group was the former CTO, right hand person, of Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital who guided the group. I was very vocal in my opinions on methodologies, especially when it came to deformation practices on character technical construction. The group went over everything from shaders, to rigging, but focused primarily on modeling topology. A very great experience and team to be on while I was at Lucasfilm. If I do eventually branch out on my own to form a game or animation studio, or if I lead the technical and visuals of another company, the conversations that were held in these meetings will give me a confidence where I know I am making the right decisions. May the force be with you.

THE PR TEAM OF MICHAEL JACKSON: BEING CONTACTED ABOUT REPRESENTATION :::::: July 28th, 2022

As I write this… I’m listening to “Smooth Criminal.” One of the biggest accomplishments that an artistic person can have, is being recognized as an individual out of the group, like Michael from the Jackson 5, where media and artistic organizations recognize your individual achievements, want to represent you, and market your individual achievements worldwide. That has happened, creatively… I’ve made it. I was really pleased when the PR person of Michael Jackson reached out to me about representing me. Due to putting my parents assets in cash liquid, probates, and getting their house prepped to sell, I pushed back signing with him, temporarily… even though I have two monetized websites and software plugins I am rereleasing to market. I will be signing with him once the probate situation is handled.

I am… the architect… the industrial designer… the engineer… the artist… the entrepreneur… the innovator… The Jackson. Michael is one of the greatest musicians of all time, and I am one of the highest accoladed creative design engineers/ graphics architects on the planet. Although I thought it would even be a matter of time until this happened to me, it is an honor that this has happened. Just brilliant.

SMART INVESTING AND DIVERSIFICATION: INVESTMENT ACCOUNTS: CONSERVATIVE, MODERATE, AGGRESSIVE :::::: July 29th, 2022

I have a financial advisor through Charles Schwab, as well as Merrill Lynch. When investing, I find it best to diversify. Within a month of this blog, I will have three types of funds: an aggressive fund (EARNING 10-12 PERCENT PER YEAR), a moderately aggressive fund (EARNING 7-9 PERCENT PER YEAR),  and a conservative fund (EARNING 4-6 PERCENT PER YEAR). Without disclosing the amounts in each fund, it is my hope that these funds would grow, collectively, the mean between all three, approximately nine percent per year. Meaning if there were, 33k in each, a total of 100k, the interest would be about 9k per year, or 9k extra spending dollars.

In gaming, once you get up there in experience, the salary, stock, and bonus can be quite lucrative. My financial advisor from Schwab has a son who does programming, mid level, at Amazon for about 500k per year with salary, stock, and bonus. People at EA and Disney, with my goal being a Chief Visual Officer that can earn up to 10 million a year, can live quite well. For sake of argument though, let’s say that my package was the 500k. What I would probably do, is live off of the 200k per year and take the remaining 300k and divide it up with three investments in each account: 100k in the conservative, 100k in the moderate, and 100k in the aggressive accounts. With that strategy, and earning interest, over five years, that means that they are compounding interest on approximately 2 million dollars at approximately 10 percent… or… 200k. With that amount of 200k, add that to your salary, and that means you’re earning 400k a year… without burning the principal investment money.

This is the base strategy, these numbers can be adjusted to eventually reflect a chief visual officer of up to ten million per year. The future in gaming with the proper investment strategy is very bright.  MY THREE GROWTH FUNDS COLLECTIVELY HAD A 2% TOTAL GROWTH DUE TO MY DESIGN STRATEGY IN THE FIRST WEEK OF BEING OPEN.

SETTING UP “CASH COWS” :::::: WARREN BUFFETT : “If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.” :::::: August 9th, 2022

In this day and age of commerce on the internet, one way to set up a potential for wealth is to set up a cash cow, or in other words, a source of income that is monetized that can make income with little or no maintenance. Part of being an entrepreneur that thinks outside of the box enabled me to set up SEVEN potential cash cows that can generate income while you sleep. At this point, I’m not sure how successful they will be, but the ingenuity behind creating them could lead to more in the future. My seven are the following:

- 2 monetized clothing websites where each article of clothing I designed makes ten dollars per sale which goes right into PayPal and can be transferred over to my account
- 3 growth funds: an aggressive, a moderate, and a conservative risk on growth at different percentages
- An aggressive invested Ira
- An aggressive stock fund

Plus, I am in the process of relaunching more software that would be monetized online as well. In hoping that these “cash cows” do well for me, I will probably even open more of them in the future. Down the road I’d be interested in owning a Starbucks franchise or two, to be honest, due to my passion towards coffee and working. I am hoping that all of this setup will lead to making an impression on the powers that be that are executives and creative executives in the gaming world. Once things are set up, my goal at a Sony PlayStation, ILM, EA, or Xbox, would to be at about 600k to 800k base, with 1 to 1.5 in bonus, and 2 to 4 in stock. Of the 5 to 7 million per year in earnings, I would most likely live on 500k of it and invest the remaining 6.5 in my growth funds earning 8%, or about an additional 550k. Add that 550k on top of the 500k and after two years, you have over 1 million in spending. My rule of thumb, for a package where salary, stock, and bonus, is 500k, live off just over a third and invest the rest. Even down the line, if the salary and interest end up being 5 million a year in spending, with 20 million or more in the bank, 5 million a year in spending comes out to about 13k a day. The likelihood of spending more that 13k a day is slim to none. Invest smart.

NORWEGIAN WOOD- GREAT DESIGN IS “OPTIMIZED COMPLEXITY” :::::: August 28th, 2022

When it comes to design, art, animation, video games, and visual effects, when in doubt, if there is a song that you need to play in order to get your head thinking straight, it’s ‘Norwegian Wood’.. and it’s the best of John Lennon’s Beatles. So much complexity covered by so simple of chords… like a complex shape or engineering solution being concealed by a GUI, protective casing, store front, web crawl, control rig setup, or real time cloth for a video game character, that enables the work to be picked up on and understood so quickly- even though there are multiple strokes happening within the same time frame. Lyrics… easy enough for a child to play with and understand with little training, but designed in a way that are complex and layered, and crafted in a way that only a genius like John Lennon could make. That’s what makes great animation and design… “optimized complexity”. Optimized complexity is key to creating great work: figuring out a complex solution to a problem that the design engineer, whether it be game, architect, or industrial designer, addresses, and making it so user friendly, a novice can comprehend it’s complexity with little or no training. Enjoy their best song.

GOD OF WAR: BEING INTERVIEWED FOR WHAT WAS NAMED THE BEST VIDEO GAME OF ALL TIME :::::: September 11th, 2022

Around fall of 2009, I was at a girl’s condo in Westerville, Ohio, that I graduated industrial design with, and who is basically like my sister, and her boyfriend and I were standing about four feet away from her television with her PlayStation 3 on and we were playing “God of War.” Me, being alum of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Transformers, Madden, Harry Potter, NBA 2K, and design such as Nike and Adidas, I informed them that what we were playing… I knew… as groundbreaking as it was… was going to take over as the biggest intellectual property on the planet. A year prior, I was living in Singapore, and to keep myself occupied, I was the owner of the Sony PSP. The title that got the most play, was “God of War: Chains of Olympus.” I remember sitting next to an intern that was living with me and on the hand held console, whipping someone for the first time, having the chains tear them to pieces, the over flow of blood, and Kratos, the main character, standing over them proud and conquering. I immediately looked at my room dog and said…”This is the most fun playing a video game I have ever had my entire life… including Mario and Zelda.” Rated M for mature. In September of 2014, I met via phone call the technical team on Sony Santa Monica, and we discussed God of War that they were working on for the PS4. Unfortunately, at the time in 14, I was wanting to become more of an executive at PlayStation and less of an engineer, so it did not work out. That title went on to be ranked, according to IGN, as the top video game of all time (so I interviewed for the top video game of all time), and Sony Santa Monica got named the top video game studio to work for that year it shipped the title, 2018. In 2021, while Sony Santa Monica was in development of God of War: Ragnarok, I had a discussion with their recruiter, around the time my dad passed, about coming on that title as an art director… creative executive. Too much was going on at the time for it to work out, but they seemed incredibly positive about me designing an engineering rigging modular system based off of my work at ILM for them in the future. That would be a goal. Because they are PlayStation, the technology I would like to develop for Sony PlayStation Spider-Man and Sony Imageworks Spider-Man in regards to rigging pipeline could have overlap. This is the goal, I’m hoping once things are settled in Columbus, this will work out. Rumor is that Sony Pictures is making a film adaption of God of War… I would want HHH from the WWE to play him. This is God of War. Nothing is bigger.

A MILLION DOLLARS ISN’T COOL, WHAT’S COOL… A BILLION DOLLARS: HOW BRENT WOULD HANDLE A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR ACQUISITION (DREAM BIG) :::::: September 16th, 2022

IN AN IDEAL SITUATION, IF BRENT HAD THINGS HIS WAY, HE WOULD HAVE THREE RESIDENCES: ONE, A RESIDENCE IN THE MARINA IN SAN FRANCISCO OR IN A PLUSH AREA IN LOS ANGELES LIKE MALIBU, BEVERLY HILLS, OR BEL AIR, TWO A RESIDENCE IN UPPER ARLINGTON IN COLUMBUS OHIO, AND THREE A PENTHOUSE IN MANHATTAN. BRENT WOULD SPEND FROM FEBRUARY TO AUGUST EVERY YEAR IN THE MARINA WORKING AT ILM IN THE PRESIDIO IN SAN FRANCISCO OR IN MALIBU AT PLAYSTATION. FROM SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER HE WOULD GO TO COLUMBUS, STAY IN UPPER ARLINGTON, AND WORK ON FREELANCE PROJECTS FROM SONY, EA, ILM, TAKE TWO, WB INTERACTIVE, AND XBOX... FROM OHIO... SO HE COULD ENJOY FOOTBALL GAMES AND FURTHER ENHANCE HIS PORTFOLIO. IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY, EVERY YEAR, HE WOULD GO TO HIS PENTHOUSE IN NEW YORK, ENJOY THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING,  AND WORK ON SKETCHES ON HIS IPAD FOR HIS CLOTHING LINE. HE IDEALLY WANTS TO MARRY SOMEONE, AND THE WOMAN THAT HE WOULD END UP PICKING WOULD JUST TRAVEL WITH HIM. IF THEY HAD A CHILD, OR SEVERAL, THE CHILDREN WOULD JUST BE HOMESCHOOLED ONLINE FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE SCHOOL YEAR EVERY YEAR, OR WOULD DO THE FIRST TWO QUARTERS OF SCHOOL IN THE MIDWEST, WITH A EXTENDED BREAK FOR CHRISTMAS,  WHERE THEY WOULD TAKE THEIR FINALS ONLINE, AND THE SPRING AND SUMMER WOULD BE COMPLETED IN SAN FRANCISCO. EXTRA CLASSES THAT WOULD BE COMPLETED FOR THE SECOND MASTERS, SAY AT STANFORD, WOULD BE DONE DURING THE SPRING WHILE BRENT WAS IN SAN FRANCISCO. ONCE THE THREE BILLION WOULD BE ACQUIRED, FOR THE CLIENT LIST OF SONY, ILM, TAKE TWO, XBOX, WB INTERACTIVE, AND EA, DUE TO BRENT'S INVESTMENT STRATEGY WHERE HE WOULD LIVE OFF OF INTEREST OF ETFS AND MUTUAL FUNDS IN THE THREE BILLION INVESTED, HE WOULD DO WORK FOR THOSE COMPANIES FOR ABSOLUTLEY FREE, THEREBY GUARANTEEING THAT HE NOT ONLY GETS THE BEST PROJECTS TO WORK ON, FROM HERE ON OUT, BUT THAT, UNLESS IT WERE GOING TO BE LICENSABLE SOFTWARE WHERE HE WOULD WANT POINTS, HE WOULD ONLY CHARGE FOR RECOMMENDATION LETTERS AND SELFIES WITH A-LIST DIRECTORS AND VIDEO GAME PRODUCERS FOR HIS PORTFOLIO, THAT WAY HE HAS THE TOP PORTFOLIO IN THE INDUSTRY. BASED ON HIS INVESTMENT STRATEGY FOR THREE BILLION, HE HAS CALCULATED THAT IN INTEREST ALONE HE WOULD EARN, APPROXIMATELY 210 MILLION PER YEAR. ADDING ADDITIONAL HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS TO SEVERAL MILLION ON TOP OF THAT FOR A FREELANCE FEE IS IRRELEVANT. HE WOULD RATHER HAVE THE GUARANTEED PORTFOLIO PIECE THAN WORRY ABOUT A BIDDING WAR.

THIS IS HOW BRENT WOULD BREAK DOWN ONE BILLION:

* 50 million in savings: 2 percent interest
* 50 million in checking: no interest
* 100 million in bonds, cds, iras: 6 to 7 percent annual interest
* 50 million in downpayment on a new LLC being used to set up private equity firm
* 50 million to charity (30 to his friends and family with 10 million to MS Research and 10 million to pancreatic cancer research)
* 400 million in his conservative growth fund: 5 to 6 percent annual interest
* 200 million in his moderate growth fund: 7 to 9 percent annual interest
* 100 million in his aggressive growth fund: 10 to 12 percent interest

Annual interest earned on this financial plan is approximately, per billion, 70 million dollars for doing nothing per year and just sitting on the bank without touching principal.

Of the new 70 million in interest bankING, Brent would take out 10 for him for spending for the year, or 830k per month, and an additional 10 million in spending for a future potential wife, that ten would also support kids.

So, if the principal were 3 billion, and not 1 billion, Brent would simply multiply all of those figures by three. Which would mean 210 million in interest earned per year with 30 million for Brent and 30 million for a wife and kids to spend. The remaining 150 million not spent would go back in the growth funds.

Lastly, for ten billion dollars, that would be 700 million in interest earned, with the wife and himself getting 100 million in payment each, with 500 million going back in the growth funds.

That is the strategy he would use.

TO SELL A COMPANY: POSITIONING MYSELF AFTER A POTENTIAL ACQUISITION TO BECOME A VIDEO GAME EXECUTIVE :::::: October 21st, 2022

Being the owner of a software plugin company, one thing that I am trying to achieve is closure. With an eventual goal of becoming a Chief Visual Officer at an EA, ILM, PlayStation, Xbox, Take Two Interactive, or WB Games, is that I can show a Kathy Kennedy, Japanese Board, or an Andrew Wilson, that I can sit at a laptop in non ideal conditions (like care giving for your mother with pancreatic cancer or your father with multiple sclerosis), conceptualize and execute technology, market worldwide with international advertisements, raise money from Harvard level bankers, establish a market base penetration that can even out hustle a Mark Zuckerberg, get positive reviews from people in that respective industry as accoladed as a conference chairperson, get asked to be in worldwide media like the cover of a worldwide magazine, get positive reviews from your user base, get acquisition approaches from the Fortune 100, and ultimately sell the ip: opening, worldwide use, closure. I have achieved everything except finally sell the company. Ideally once that would happen, I would add that to a resume and show that whole life cycle to an executive officer like an Andrew Wilson what I can do. I am getting calls about investments in the company, see image, and informing the sharks that I’d like to sell the formula as opposed to building the LLC. I believe it was Dustin Moskowitz, Zuckerberg’s partner, that initially advised to do the strategy that I’m doing. If you get in with a company early enough as an advisor you still have billionaire potential. But, as someone who would be an employee of a Fortune 100 as his primary position, 10 to 12 million per year is satisfying.

FUN COMPARISONS: WALT DISNEY :::::: October 25th, 2022

A lot of people aspire to be like Walt Disney. They often have grandiose thoughts, are delusional, or are wrapped up in nostalgia. Other than Walt Disney’s birthday being on December 5th and mine December 6th, the reason why I think I could pass as a potential spinoff of Walt Disney… is because I can do his job. To think about it in more depth… the breakdown:

If this would be a typical day for Walt Disney…

8:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. review and work on feature animation

10:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. review and work on video games

11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. work and guide actors on set in a mocap studio

12:30 P.M, - 1:30 P.M. lunch

1:30 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. work with imagineering on theme park architecture and design (note: Gensler Los Angeles worked on Disney Theme Parks)

3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. work on industrial design toy and product/ clothing design and rolling it into retail store planning

4:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M. work on global market strategy, marketing design, penetration, university outreach, and student relations

… then I can do Walt Disney’s job.

THE FUTURE ... 1.6 BILLION? :::::: November 1st, 2022

  Thinking positively about the future...

1. I write animation tools and technology for video games and films.
2. My tools are based on Star Wars.
3. The tools I write are so similar to ILM’s tools for Star Wars, where I worked, that supervisors who wrote the tools on the Star Wars prequels were wanting royalties.
4. My tools have been on the cover of world wide magazines.
5. I was in R and D meetings at ILM on writing tools for production.
6. I was on the best practices review committee at ILM as one of about ten to twelve members setting digital standards for Lucas Digital globally with the former CTO of Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital.
7. 250 universities on 6 continents received a freemium version of my tools at a requested pace that out paced Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook LLC (6 months).
8. One of the most respected people in the computer graphics industry, the siggraph chair, referred to me and my tools publicly on twitter as “mind blowing.”
9. When the Intercon Conference reviewed my resume and work (tools), and they are sponsored by Facebook and Amazon, they awarded me the title of “One of the top 100 people in technology worldwide.”
10. The technology/tools in Star Wars are just as big as technology/tools on The Lord of The Rings. This technology takes Autodesk Maya assets and optimizes them to work in real time engines like Unity and Unreal.
11. The Lord of The Rings is directed by Peter Jackson.
12. Peter Jackson owns Weta Digital.
13. Peter Jackson sold the tools division of Weta Digital where he takes Autodesk Maya assets and exports into a real time engine like Unity or Unreal to Unity LLC for 1.6 billion dollars.
14. My tools do the same thing that Peter’s do.… except they are Star Wars based.

The future is bright. Sincerely "Peter 'Air' Zuckerberg"

FUN COMPARISONS: LEONARDO DAVINCI ::::: November 1st, 2022

As a potential future chief visual officer... reflections:

What is the top design firm in the world: Gensler… achieved
What is the largest console video game company in the world and their largest title: EA Sports and Madden NFL… achieved
What is considered to be the top entertainment company in the world with the strongest IP: Lucasfilm (executive trainee, best practices steering committee selected by the right hand person of Peter Jackson, work approved directly by George Lucas, who, in the history of entertainment, the only person as recognized artistically as him is Walt Disney himself)… achieved
Name several of the more difficult affiliations/ companies to acquire on your resume in entertainment: Disney, Sony, DreamWorks, Take Two, Marvel… achieved
What is the design firm that got named most innovative design firm in the world: NBBJ… achieved
Name a startup that out penetrated Facebook LLC Pre “Series A” in regards to university penetration: BZP Pro (cofounder)… achieved
Name someone who develops pioneering technology featured on the cover of a worldwide magazine, so advanced yet so user friendly that the Siggraph Chair, who is one of the most respected in graphics, refers to him as mind blowing publicly: Brent J. Zorich… achieved
Name one of the top 100 people on the planet in technology as recognized by a conference sponsored by Facebook LLC and Amazon: Brent J. Zorich… achieved
Name someone who has working knowledge and comprehension of Stanford Level Engineering, ILM R and D, and ILM Block Party Rigging Software, as applies to CGI: Brent J. Zorich… achieved
Who was advised to not go below 20 million on an acquisition review brokered by Goldman Sachs by one of the people who is the affiliate of one of the founders of ILM: BZP Pro… achieved
Who was contacted by the PR specialist of Michael Jackson, one of the top PR specialists in the industry who has 17 books out and lectures at Harvard, to represent him publicly: Brent J. Zorich… achieved

So the question is… if Leonardo DaVinci (Artist, Architect, Industrial Designer, Engineer) were alive today, would he be able to state these facts….. probably not.

FUN COMPARISONS: WHAT FAMOUS STAR WARS CHARACTER ARE YOU: BOBA FETT :::::: November 12th, 2022

A few years back I took an online personality test asking what famous character I would be in Star Wars based on my survey answers. Boba is who came up.

Kind of quiet out in public. Person of few words.

Engineering oriented.

Top person in his industry.

Intense while on the job and always performs at the top... not compromising the quality of his work for any exterior potential circumstances..

Just as Boba inherited his dad’s ship, the Slave 1, I inherited my dad’s blue mini van when he passed (now traded in).

Shrewd business person and good negotiator.

When I got injured in 2009, like Boba after The Sarlacc Pit, the sandpeople nursed Boba back to health: the way my BZP Pro partners nursed my resume after the tragedy to have one of the top resumes in the country and in a potential position to take on a major executive creative job worth millions.

Boba sets himself up to make tons of money- as I have set up with cash cows.

Boba becomes so popular in the city he is in that he is often approached by people about him running for office- as I am, although I’m sticking with the creative executive route in gaming. As a tech entrepreneur I could move to another city pending on what the right woman would say once met; although I could potentially work remotely from Columbus if the proper multi million dollar deal with a game studio is sweet enough. I am often referred to publicly as “The Senator”.

I made the Boba Fett rig in "Star Wars The Force Unleashed" that is world famous.

I am on LinkedIn with Jeremy Bulloch who played Boba in "The Empire Strikes Back".

Cool stuff.

THE WORK OF TIM BURTON :::::: November 29th, 2022

I have always been a fan of Tim Burton. His dark work, very stylized, and twisted sense of humor has always spooked me out. He is a true success story of a Cal Arts classically trained animator who went to work for Walt Disney Feature Animation, got terminated from Disney Animation for being too dark, developed his own style, and executed it in a way in which no one else has been able to execute....  now working with Disney on his own terms and calling the shots on his own production. His drawings for concept are very stylized and dark, having character, even though I am more of an industrial design illustrator when it comes to artwork. I am really looking forward to watching his latest work, “Wednesday.” Jenna Ortega has won several awards as being an up and coming Mexican and Puerto Rican rising star, even though she is twenty, the early reviews on her show are through the roof. Plus, when I read about the show and looked her up, her Greek Astrology is a Libra, and I’m a Sagittarius… total compatibility… and her Chinese Zodiac is a Horse, and I’m a Tiger… total compatibility. What do you know… Wednesday Addams might be my perfect working relationship, how cool is that? She’s a very dark actress that takes her craft seriously. Often at times in Potter, I see myself as Lucius Malfoy, due to the love of family, his serious side when it comes to work, and his pure blood wizardry… as I feel, as though due to my ancestry I am a pure blood architect, artist, and design engineer. In addition to Wednesday, I could see Jenna playing an alternate younger adult version of Narcissa Malfoy and knocking it out of the park. Looking forward to seeing Tim Burton’s stylized art direction in this latest piece of work. Again, really amazing stuff.  Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors.. up there with Kubrick, Lucas, Nolan, Spielberg, and Jackson... although I am more or less designing for the gaming industry.... which is the new Hollywood, far more lucrative and far more powerful.

BUILDING A BRAND: MARKETING FIRMS HAVING FAITH IN THE CLOTHING LINE :::::: December 2nd, 2022

As someone who dabbles in concept design artwork for video games, it is a really amazing feeling when my clothing brand is getting international attention. Emails like the one displayed are very common throughout the week, this one in particular from a marketing agency who specializes in TikTok from London. I am hoping with this cash cow on two monetized websites, Sketches of Brent Zorich, that both sales and popularity grow internationally showcasing my industrial design style and conceptualization for a target of Xbox or PlayStation. Really amazing feeling to know that one, my work is viewed that highly worldwide, and two, people can see the potential in this brand.

ANOTHER REASON WHY I LEFT INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE: THERE IS NO PAY IN DESIGN, THE PAY IS IN VIDEO GAMING :::::: December 6th, 2022

A lot of people think that architects are loaded. That is simply not the case. Architects and designers are typically starving artists. The money is in video gaming. In fact, a lot of times, parents tell their children to go to medical school or law school. No. Who is the most famous doctor on the planet. With the exception of Fauci, Dr. Ben Carson, who did surgery on conjoined twins while in the mother’s womb, and who ran for president of the United States in 2016, is probably the most famous doctor. His net worth is approximately 30 million dollars. Andrew Wilson, who is my age and the CEO of Electronic Arts, made 40 million in earnings in 2021. So, a big Whig in gaming makes more in one year than the net worth of the most famous doctor in the world. So parents, when you are talking to your kids about what they want to be when they grow up, and you are telling them to put down that Xbox controller and pick up a toy stethoscope… think twice.

Here is a list of earnings, per year, there would be inflation, of what I earned.

- NBBJ … post grad architect intern … 1998 to 1999 …. $8.00 per hour

- Gensler … interior architect … 1999 to 2001 … $32,000 per year

- Electronic Arts … video game intern … 2005 … at the rate of a whole year, $42,000

- Take Two Interactive … entry level technical artist … 2006 … $60,000

- Electronic Arts … technical artist at 50 hours a week … 2007 to 2008 … $70,000

- Lucasfilm … senior technical artist, steering committee, exec trainee, at hours worked … 2008 to 2009 … $170,000  (the Lucasfilm team was really excited about the Madden work done after EA and gave a sweet deal)

- After … independently wealthy through investments and entrepreneurial ventures that will most likely rejoin a studio, with now in a hopeful position as a Chief Visual Officer to earn 600k to 800k base, with 1 to 2 million in bonus, and 3 to 7 million in stock annual.

The next time someone tells you there is money in design, they are lying. Gaming is Bill Gates industry, it pays more than medical, legal, and everything else. So, interns at EA SPORTS make more money than architects starting out at the top design firm in the world. Something to think about.

Game On!

THE 2022 OHIO STATE VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM :::::: January 1st, 2023

No shame. All heart. Based on your tough two losses this year, hold your head high. Not really in rotation during the playoffs were Marvin Harrison Jr., who got hurt and was the top receiver in the country, the tight end, Cade Stover, injured during the game, TreVeyon Henderson, a preseason Heisman Trophy pick, and Jackson Smith-Njigba, a preseason Heisman pick. Not to mention an injured Miyan Williams. So without your two top receivers, who are the top receivers in the country, tight end, and playing with a third team running back, you took the defending champions to the last five seconds of the game and missed a fifty yard field goal where you would have won it all. I’m proud of you. Many of you will go on to the NFL to post college careers, but never forget the heart and will of this team. CJ Stroud, I look forward to watching you on Sundays. I expect you to be a first round pick. You were the best player in college football in 2022. Had the team been healthy, Ohio State would have beaten Georgia by two or three touchdowns. Not even close. To put up 41 on that Georgia defense with backups shows how great the offensive coaching and strategy of Coach Ryan Day are in these situations. God bless this team… and ‘Go Bucks’. Wishing you all many Madden NFL covers in the future…. Your fan, friend, and brother… Brent.

THE CLOTHING LINE GETTING MORE PRESS: BEING APPROACHED BY PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALISTS TRYING TO GET ME IN GQ AND VOGUE :::::: JANUARY 9th, 2023

Really exciting, part of being a modern day DaVinci type with world famous artwork, is that I have agencies, like is the case of Michael Jackson’s people, contacting me wanting to market my individual achievements worldwide. This is a sample email I got today from a firm in London that is trying to get my clothing brand in both GQ as well as VOGUE. Really exciting that the biggest magazines on the planet are recognizing my artwork, work ethic, and concepts, and I am to be viewed, not only as a potential Mark Pincus, but also Phil Knight or Ralph Lauren. Keeping up the great work.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU: ARE YOU VADER OR FETT: DRIVEN BY POWER OR PORTFOLIO :::::: January 18th, 2023

It is often when I am out in my current city, Columbus, due to the fact that I’m Star Wars alum, people often ponder the question, due to me having been really big there as an executive trainee and a steering committee member, is his leadership style more like Darth Vader or is he more like Boba Fett. Both are big characters, both are leaders in their own klans, but both are slightly different.

Boba can take down Darth, and Darth can take down Boba. It kind of depends on who connects first, in my opinion they are near equal in power. The difference in what gets them up in the morning and sends them to work is the motivation. Vader was seduced by the dark side, fuels his rage on anger and animosity, because he was forbidden to love Padme due to the Jedi order and ultimately killed her by accident. His lust for power to run a society that he is in, with her, ultimately caused his downfall to the dark side leading him to walk the halls of the Death Star in rage throughout his life. His fuel and motivation is to intimidate and rule with hate… whereas Boba’s is different. His motivation is to collect good bounties, thereby having an amazing portfolio, that in this case are a collection of Wookiee braids, and show off his portfolio to his colleagues with the title of the top bounty hunter in the galaxy. He later goes on to be a politician on Tatooine. Vader is driven by being power hungry; Boba is driven by being project/ bounty/ portfolio hungry. Vader’s ego is based on intimidation, Boba’s ego is based on a technical skill set. I’m Boba. I wouldn’t pick a fight with either one, and I wouldn’t mess with Vader while he is walking the halls yelling, but I definitely wouldn’t mess with Boba’s portfolio, his ability to get a bid for a project, or mess with him during a project he is on. The consequences would be catastrophic.

THE CROW (1994) :::::: January 19, 2023

A masterful blend of artistry, style, industrial music, and shot composition. This was my favorite movie from the nineties. An amazing story and amazing comic book. This is the story of two people in love that are tortured, raped, and murdered graphically, in a period of film that was just beginning to experiment with digital lighting and compositing. One year after the death of the lead character, Eric Draven (Brandon Lee- the son of Bruce Lee), he rises from the grave as a gothic super hero impervious to pain due to the well being of a mystical crow that accompanies him, and he goes through Detroit near Halloween night (Devil's Night) and avenges the death of he and his wife by killing the crime lord, drug dealers, and rapists who tortured them. The movie is beautifully written and received numerous pop culture movie awards with a score of 84 on rotten tomatoes. This film shaped an entire generation of artists, writers, poets, musicians, architects, photographers, and even professional wrestlers with Sting from the WCW mimicking Brandon during the late 90s “Monday Night Wars” between Vince McMahon and Ted Turner. I saw this film over ten times in the theater and was totally blown away. Brandon was taken from us too young of an age. For this generation, and they are doing a reboot, due to its dark goth style, for which I am a fan, it would be really cool to rebuild this title as a video game on the PlayStation and Xbox. To take on the underworld mob is one thing, to take on the underworld mob as a martial artist that is bulletproof with hand canons in a dark, rainy, environment would be incredible. If you are not familiar with this film definitely download it to review. This is the best film of the 1990s…. meant to be admired and adored by the creatively inclined.
